Who is Kitfox?
Sara Westman // Chief Creative Officer
As a homeschooled child of entrepreneurial parents, Sara was encouraged to create often, and from a young age. A passion for photography came about early on, when Sara started photographing weddings with her parents at age thirteen. Over the years this developed into a niche style of photo journalism and lifestyle product photography.
Armed with an associates in applied science in graphic design technology focusing in vector illustration and commercial photography, Sara eventually landed in Idaho’s beautiful Treasure Valley. After making friends with a handful of firearm industry professionals, Kitfox was born.
Sara has since illustrated hundreds of firearms and products for clients in the firearm and outdoor industries, worked on a number of editorial illustrations for Recoil Magazine, and a Supreme Court Case illustration set for Firearms Policy Coalition.
In January 2019 Sara moved back to her hometown of Iron Mountain Michigan. Kitfox is now headquartered out of a quaint building in the downtown district.
